The King and Queen, who have both been fully immunized with three doses, have mild symptoms. "The royal couple are showing very mild symptoms, but based on the fact that the pcr test gave a positive test result, they are staying at home at Drottningholm," Court Information Officer Margareta Thorgren told Expressen. According to the statement, it has not yet been determined where the royal couple came into contact with the coronavirus and follow-up for the infection is ongoing. "The royal couple met their children and grandchildren over Christmas, but it was possible to clarify that the infection was not from there. The rest of the family are in good health and have no symptoms at the moment." , explains Daniel Urso, the information secretary at the royal palace. The royal couple are not the first in the royal family to contract covid-19. In November 2020, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia tested positive. In March 2021, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel tested positive. The King and Queen are isolated in their home in Drottningholm. "The royal couple will be confined for at least seven days and will follow the rules of conduct which apply to them", specifies Daniel Urso.
